How to Sign In with Your Missouri State Account

Missouri State University has partnered with Microsoft to provide sign in services to university resources, such as the My Missouri State portal and your Missouri State Email. Read more About Your Missouri State Login Account.

Note: Some Missouri State resources and campus lab computers require you sign in with just your Account ID as the username along with your Missouri State password. The Account ID is the first part of your Missouri State Account before the @. See About Your Missouri State Login Account for more information.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. From the Missouri State login page, enter your Missouri State Account and click Next. Depending on when your account was created, your Missouri State Account could be in any of the following formats:
    • AccountID@Login.MissouriState.edu

    • AccountID@Live.MissouriState.edu

    • AccountID@MissouriState.edu

  2. Enter your Missouri State Account password and click Sign In.

     
  3. You will be prompted to authenticate with a second method, either a phone call, text, or authenticator app.MFA login prompt for Authenticator App
     
  4. If you are unable to authenticate with your preferred option you will be able to choose another authentication method from your selected options. Simply select Sign in another way to use a different method.

  5. Choose one of the available options to approve your sign-on attempt.

Please Note: How often you are required to authenticate depends on several factors, including whether you are using a new device, a different browser, a browser in private/incognito mode, etc. You will be prompted to approve sign-in requests for every device that you log in with, including your work computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, etc. At a minimum, you will be prompted to authenticate your log ins to Admin Banner every seven (7) days and Office 365 every ninety (90) days.
