Software License Request - Zoom

Overview

Please note: It is not necessary to have a Zoom account in order to join and participate in meetings. An account is only needed if you wish to host your own meetings.

MSU has two kinds of Zoom accounts, Basic Zoom and Licensed Zoom. Please indicate which type of account you are requesting on the Request Form.

Basic Zoom accounts allow you to:
  • Host up to 100 participants
  • Unlimited 1 to 1 meetings; 40 minute limit on group meetings
  • Unlimited number of meetings
Licensed Zoom accounts allow you to:
  • Host up to 300 participants
  • Host an unlimited number of meetings
  • Meeting duration is capped at 24 hours


Eligibility

Any Missouri State student, staff, or faculty member can be issued a Basic Zoom account. Licensed Zoom accounts are prioritized for teaching and direct student and faculty support. Additional licenses may be issued for core administrative purposes.


Cost

There is no charge to request or use this service.
