Request BearPrint Refund

Overview

If you attempt to print to a BearPrint printer and something goes wrong with the print job, you may be eligible for a refund of the amount charged for the print job. Not every instance will qualify for a refund. Use the Request Refund button to submit your request, or speak with a student technician and they can complete the request on your behalf. Refund requests need to be made within 48 hours of when the print job occurred. Refunds are given at the discretion of the lab administrator and are processed within one week.

May Qualify for a Refund

Whenever you don't get a printout and either no resources are used or the printout is unusable, we'll be happy to issue a refund. Examples of this would be:

  • Your print job simply never printed, but still shows in your transaction history.
  • The printer was out of toner, so the pages were completely unreadable.
  • The printer jammed in such a way that the paper was mangled and thus illegible.

Does Not Qualify for a Refund

If either the printout is fine or the printer resources, (toner, paper, etc.) were still used to create usable printouts, a refund cannot be issued. Examples of this would be:

  • You accidentally sent black and white documents to the color printer, or vice-versa.
  • Someone else picked up your print job.
  • The print is not pristine but is still readable.
  • You accidentally printed multiple copies.
  • You forget to log off a computer and someone else prints from your allotment.
