Step-by-Step Guide
How to Edit an Assessment
When you create a new assessment, Blackboard will automatically take you to your Assessment Canvas, where you can add questions. If it doesn't, you exit the Assessment Canvas on accident, or just want to edit questions, you can always return to the Canvas.
- First, go to where the assessment lives. Click the gray chevron next to the name of the assessment and then click Edit.
- Click Assessment Canvas.
On the Assessment Canvas, if you hover over the left side of a question your cursor will turn into a cross-hair icon and you can then click the question and move it to the vertical position you would like it.
- From the Assessment Canvas, click on the gray chevron that appears to the right of the question title. From the subsequent drop down menu click Criteria.
- You can then choose to Edit or Delete the criteria you have set up for that question. For more information on criteria go to the How to Add Criteria page.
- Go to the page where the assessment is located and, after clicking the gray chevron next to the assessment name, click Edit.
- Click Properties and it will take you back to the creation prompt. For a step-by-step guide through the options go to the page about How to Create a Self and Peer Assessment.
