How to Connect to the MSU Open Wi-Fi Network

The MSU Open network is available for all university visitors, but is mainly targeted at prospective new students and their families. MSU Open is available in the Meyer Library, Plaster Student Union, and the Welcome Center. The password (pre-shared key) is public, and changes infrequently. You can access the Internet and limited MSU resources using this network.

How to Connect to the MSU Open Wi-Fi Network


1. Navigate to your device's Wi-Fi or Network settings menu. There are guides for each type of popular device available for your reference. 

2. Select MSU Open.

3. Enter the Pre-Shared Key (see below).

Current Pre-Shared Key: Welcome2MSU

4. You are now connected to MSU Open.
