TV Streaming Services for Residence Hall Students

As a student living in one of our residence halls, you can stream TV on your phone, tablet, computer, or TV by way of Roku. This gives you 79 channels and 20 hours of recording time. Here’s what you should know to get started streaming TV to any of your devices while connected to the campus network. This guide demonstrates how to access Philo TV Streaming on your devices.

Please Note: To utilize these services, you must have an active housing contract and be located physically on campus.

Step-by-Step Guide

How to Connect on your Phone

  1. Download the Philo Edu app from AppStore/PlayStore. Be sure to download Philo EDU and not the regular Philo app. The icon should look the one below.

  2. Once the app is downloaded, open and click on Log in with BearPass ID. Enter your BearPass login (Eg. resnet123) and password.

  3. You are now logged in to watch TV.

How to Connect on your Tablet/Computer

  1. Open Google Chrome browser and navigate to watch.philo.com.
  2. Click on Log in with BearPass ID. Enter your BearPass login (Eg. resnet123) and password.

How to Connect on your TV

  1. You can use tablet or computer and connect your TV with an HDMI cable projecting what you want to watch and using your TV as a second screen.
  2. Login with your BearPass login ID and password like above.
