How to Scan in the Open-Access Labs

If you need help scanning documents, this guide will walk you through the process. We have six scanners in the Meyer Library Open-Access Computer Lab, two in the Glass Open-Access Computer Lab, and two in the Cheek Open-Access Computer Lab.

Step-by-Step Guide

How to Scan in the Open-Access Labs

  1. Check the green light on the front panel. If it is not lighted, press the switch button on right side of the scanner, far end.
  2. Click the Spotlight magnifying glass in the upper-right and it will bring up the Spotlight Window
  3. Type in Epson Scan. The first result should be what we need.

  4. In the Epson Scan window, click Customize.

  5. Under the Image Format area, click the drop-down menu and select PDF (*.pdf) and click OK

  6. Make sure your document is ready in the scanner by aligning the corner of the document with the arrow on the scanner.
  7. Click Scan

  8. The document will be automatically saved to Pictures.
