This guide will walk you through the process of scanning documents using the Epson V600 Scanners connected to computers in the student computing labs. There are scanners in the Meyer Library (LIBR 0105) Open-Access Computer Lab and scanners in the Glass (GLAS 0436) Open-Access Computer Lab.
Step-by-Step Guide
How to Scan in the Open-Access Labs
- Log into a computer connected to the Epson V600 Scanner.
- Ensure the green light on the front panel of the scanner is turned on. If it is not lighted, press the power button on right side of the scanner, far end.
- Windows: Click on the Epson Scan icon located on the Desktop screen. Alternatively, search for the Epson Scan application by typing in the search bar in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
- The Epson Scan application defaults to the Full Auto Mode with .JPG as the default file format and My Pictures as the default save location.
- Mode can be changed using the drop-down menu on the top-right corner of the window.
- Other settings such as the location of the scanned document, file format (PDF, BITMAP, TIFF), and resolution can be changed using the Customize option and the File Save Settings option.
- Once the settings have been configured and your document is ready in the scanner by aligning the corner of the document with the arrow on the scanner, simply click Scan.
