Accessing Support in Brightspace

Brightspace support is available to all users, students, faculty and staff directly within Brightspace. 

Accessing the Brightspace Virtual Assistant

  1. Go to
  2. Log in with your Missouri State Account credentials.
  3. Click the Virtual Assistant button at the bottom right corner of the page.

  1. Choose one of the suggestions provided by the Brightspace Virtual Assistant, or type in your own question. The Virtual Assistant will attempt to answer your question or provide resources, but it will also seamlessly connect you with a support representative on the chat if it does not have an answer.

If you would prefer to email or call rather than chat, you can also use the Virtual Assistant to connect with support and start a ticket in either of those formats. To do so, enter "Contact Support" (include the quotation marks). You will then be able to choose Call us. or Email us. If you click Chat with us, you will continue to communicate through the Brightspace Virtual Assistant.
