How to Install SAS for PC

Follow the steps below to assist you with installing SAS for Windows PC.

Please Note: SAS is only available for Windows systems. SAS is not available for Apple/Mac systems.

Step-by-Step Guide

How to Install SAS

  1. Submit a SAS License Request at the Team Dynamix IT Service Portal.
  2. The request will be reviewed manually and your Team Dynamix ticket will be updated when this is completed.
  3. Once you have received the SAS installer link from the your Team Dynamix ticket, open the link.
  4. The SAS zip file will be displayed in the center, with a download icon in the upper left. Click it to begin downloading the file.
  5. The file will begin downloading.

  6. Open the downloaded file, click Extract under Compressed Folder Tools, and select Extract All of the zipped files.
    Click to extract the compressed (zipped) folder.
     
  7. Pick where you would like to extract the files to and then click Extract.
    Click the Extract button to begin the extraction process.
     
  8. Open Installation Files.
    Click on the Installation Files.
     
  9. Double-click Setup.
    Select the setup file.
     
  10. The SAS Deployment Wizard will start the deployment.
    The SAS Development Wizard will open.
     
  11. Choose the language the SAS Deployment Wizard will show in. Then click OK.
    Click the correct language from the drop-down menu.
     
  12. Select Install SAS software then click Next. 
    Select to Install SAS Software.
     
  13. Click Next.
    Select the correct SAS Software Order
     
  14. Select the SAS Home location for the installation. Click Next.

  15. Select to Install SAS Foundation and Related Software. Click Next.
    Select Install SAS Foundation and Related Software.
     
  16. Click the check-box next to SAS Deployment Tester Client and SAS Enterprise Guide (and/or other products you want to install). Click Next.

  17. Click Next.
    Select to install all of the SAS Foundation products.
     
  18. Click Next.
    Click next to continue installation.
     
  19. Select the languages for your software support. Click Next.

  20. English (United States) should be selected for the Regional Settings. Click Next.

  21. Select SAS Foundation (64-bit). Click Next.
    Select SAS Foundation for 64-bit.
     
  22. Click Next.

  23. Click Start.
    Deployment summary.
     
  24. Click Next.
    Deployment steps are complete.
     
  25. Click Next.
    Choose a support option.
     
  26. Click Finish.
    Click finish to complete the installation.
     
  27. Search for SAS and select the language that you would SAS to start up in.
