How to Use Polling in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra

Polls are a great way to keep your attendees engaged in the session. Follow the steps below to set up polling in a Collaborate session:

How to Use Polling in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra

  1. To start a poll, open the Collaborate Panel.
    Click on purple arrows icon at the bottom of the screen
     
  2. Select Share Content and click on Polling.

  3. Choose Multiple Choice or Yes/No Choices and click Select poll Type.
    Select the type of poll you wish to display and click Select poll type.
     
    1. Multiple choice polls present attendees with up to five answer choices.

    2. Yes/No polls provide attendees with the option to answer yes or no.
      Type a yes or now question for attendees.
       
      Please Note: Poll questions have a 110 character limit.  Each answer choice has a 90 character limit.
  4.  Click Start at the bottom of the panel to begin your poll.
  5. The Poll overview window will display in the middle of your screen. This gives you an overview of each response count for each choice and shows how many attendees have completed the poll.

  6. To see how many attendees have responded or who hasn't responded, click on the Attendees panel.
  7. In the Polling window click on Show Responses to see how the attendees answered.  Attendees will only see the overview count.
    Click show responses to see how the attendees answered.
     
  8. Select end polling to stop the poll.
    Click the stop button to end polling.
