Inserting an MSU Photo Slider

An example of a MSU photo slider.

This component provides a revolving photo carousel. Feature multiple photos or graphics of related items – saving space on your page.  

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the page where you wish to place your component. 
  2. Click on Pencil Edit on the page actions toolbar. 
  3. Click on the green Main Region button to check out the page.  
  4. Place your text cursor in the editable region where you would like the slideshow to appear.  
  5. Click on the Component Atom icon to view available components.  
  6. Select MSU Photo Slider. 
  7. Click Insert. 
  8. A form will prompt you to include:  
    • Slide number (this assigns the slide a number; note that the slides cannot be reordered). 
    • Slide image (use the file chooser File chooser icon to navigate to the image within your _Files folder or upload). 
    • Slide image alt text (describe what is happening in the image to a visually impaired person). 
    • Slide URL (optional) this takes the user to a page with additional supporting information. 
    • Slide title. 
    • Slide caption (optional). 
  9. Three photos, up to a maximum of 5, are recommended. To include more than one slider, click +ADD NEW GROUP. 
  10. Once form fields have been completed.  
  11. Click Save.
