How to Find the MAC Address for your Device

Students living in Residence Halls are able to connect Smart TVs, Rokus, Gaming Systems, and a variety of other devices to the MSU HomeDevice Wi-Fi network for Internet access. This guide shows how to find the MAC (Media Access Control) address for common types of devices to register it on the MSU HomeDevice network.

Please Note: Due to the large number of Internet connected devices, ResNet is unable to provide a list of how to find the MAC address for every device. If your device is unlisted, we recommend looking up the device, or contacting the device manufacturer. If you need assistance with this, please contact ResNet.
