Currently, Missouri State University has a small pool of SPSS licenses authorized for Authorized User "At-Home" usage of the software. These licenses are given out on a first come, first served basis. These are separate than SPSS licensed other ways throughout campus, please read the warning below.
Usage
Personally-owned machines are eligible for Authorized User licenses only if the software is being used for creating Teaching/Academic Coursework, to assist with research that will be freely published in an academic journal, and/or for institutional research. Qualifying faculty/staff/employees members can submit an SPSS License Request.
University-owned machines do not qualify for the Authorized User license codes but can use this to request SPSS. The service request will be routed to appropriate support staff for your college/area (DUSS, for academic area faculty/staff; the Service Desk for administrative areas). If your use case is approved, the support personnel will install the software from MEMCM and then authorize it as a concurrent license that points to our SPSS licensing server.
Students seeking to complete academic coursework should click here to get a copy of SPSS.
Alternatives to SPSS
If you do not qualify for SPSS, or cannot run it on your machine, we recommend using one of the following free software:
JASP or
R-Studio.
