Argos Web Viewer and Windows Client

Use the below instructions to learn how to run and design reports using the Argos Web Viewer and desktop client.

How to Access Argos Web Viewer to Run Reports

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge are the recommended browsers.

  1. Missouri State Portal:

Log in to https://my.missouristate.edu and search for the Information Access card. You can access the Web Viewer via the Argos Reports link (VPN is required if you are not using a campus network).

Bear Intelligence:

If you just want to run reports from Bear Intelligence, select the Bear Intelligence: Resource Center for University Data and Reports link and then the section that hosts your report and click on the name. It will take you to the report in Argos Web Viewer.

  1. Bear Finance:

If you want to run your budgeting reports from Bear Finance, simply navigate to the Argos Bear Finance Reports link and then the desired report. It will take you to the Finance report in Argos Web Viewer.

Argos Web Viewer is recommended for anyone who is running reports and not designing them. It can be run via any browser, although we do not recommend Internet Explorer as it is no longer supported by Microsoft. You can use a Windows, Linux, or Mac computer to access Argos Web Viewer.

How to Access Argos Windows Client to Design Reports

Argos Windows Client will only run on Windows machines, not MacOS or ChromeOS, and you will need to connect to the VPN to access Argos when off campus networks. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge are the recommended browsers.

Missouri State Portal:

Log in to https://my.missouristate.edu and search for the Report Development card. Here, you can either launch or install the desktop client on your Windows machine using the Install the Argos Windows desktop client link:

When you click on the above link, one of the following will happen:

  1. If you already have the Evisions application launcher installed, Argos Windows Client will open in a few seconds.

  2. If you do not have Evisions application launcher installed, the Evisions Argos page will be displayed but the Argos client will not launch even after 30 seconds. If this happens, click on the link that says, download & install the Evisions Application Launcher. This is what the page should look like:

    1. Once you click on the link to install Evisions Application launcher, a setup file will be downloaded. If you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, you can find the downloaded file on the bottom left corner of your browser. The file name will be setup.exe. If you are using Firefox, it will prompt you to save the file. Click on Save File and the file will be downloaded, and a notification will be shown on the top right corner of your browser window.

    2. Click on the setup.exe file and follow the instructions to install Evisions Application Launcher Setup. Once you install and finish the setup, you can go back to the Argos page and hit refresh or go to the my.missouristate.edu portal and try to launch Argos Windows Client again. This time, the application should not be stuck in the above screen for more than a few seconds and the application will be launched.

Important! If you do not have admin rights on your computer, you will not be able to install Evisions Application Launcher, in which case, you should request assistance from your IT support group in installing the application launcher.
