If you wish to link to a website or a folder with personal web content, you can add those pages to a Content Area. With this method, students can view the web content through Blackboard Learn without visiting an external site. The best method for uploading web content is to first upload the content to your course’s Content Collection and then link to those files through the Content Area.
Step-by-Step Guide
How to Add Web Content Through Course Files
- Go to the course Content Area where you want to add web content.
- Point to Build Content, and then select File.
- In the Select File section, click Browse Content Collection.
- On the Browse Content Collection window, click the web item or the folder where the item is located to expand it.
- From the list of files, select the .html item, and then click Submit.
- Set viewing options and availability, and then click Submit.
Your students will be able to access the web content by clicking the .html file on the content page; this will open the web site directly within Blackboard.
