How to Run and Save a Course Report

After you have turned on statistics tracking for specific items, you can generate reports about those items or about all of a user's activity.

Please Note:  There may be some delay between user activity and the report. As such, you may want to run reports at the end of a semester when all students have completed their activities.

How to Run and Save a Course Report
 

To get to the Course Reports page

On your Blackboard course site, in the Control Panel, click to expand the Evaluation menu. Then click Course Reports.
Select Course Reports from Evaluation in the management menu.

 

To run a report of all a user's activities

  1. On the Course Reports page, next to Overall Summary of User Activity, click Run.
    Click run from the User Activity Content menu.
     
  2. Set your specifications (including the specific user) and then click Submit.

You will see a report of the selected users' activity in the format you selected. Once you have run a report, you can save the report, download the report, or run a new report.
 

To run a report on content area activity

  1. On the Course Reports page, next to All User Activity inside Content Areas, click Run.
    Select run to begin setting up the report.
     
  2. Set your specifications and then click Submit.

The report will open in the format you selected. Once you have run a report, you can save the report, download the report, or run a new report.
 

To run a report on forum activity

If you want to check user activity for specific forums, you can run a report of user activity by forum.

  1. On the Course Reports page, next to User Activity in Forums, click Run.

  2. Set your specifications and then click Submit.

The report will open in the format you selected. Once you have run a report, you can save the report, download the report, or run a new report.
 

To run a report on group activity

If you want to see statistics about group activity, you can run reports for group activity. This feature may be useful for participation points.

  1. On the Course Reports page, next to User Activity in Groups, click Run.

  2. Set your specifications and then click Submit.

The report will open in the format you selected. Once you have run a report, you can save the report, download the report, or run a new report.

To Save a Course Report

  1. After you run any of the reports listed above, you'll see the following screen:

  2. Click Download Report or Save to Content Collection to save a copy of the report.
