How to Tag Questions for Reuse

Tagging questions will help you find questions later. The more tags you add to a question, the easier it will be to find the question if you need to reuse it.

How to Tag Questions for Reuse
 

To allow metadata for questions

  1. On the Control Panel, click Course Tools, and then click TestsSurveysand Pools.

  2. Click Tests.
  3. Click the Contextual Menu on the test you want to edit, and then click Edit.

  4. Click Question Settings.
    Click on Question Settings on the right from the navigation menu.
     
  5. On the Test Question Settings page, under Question Metadata select Add categories, topics, levels of difficulty, keywords and instructor notes to questions, and then click Submit. 
    Check the box under Question Metadata to be able to add tags to questions.

     

To edit an existing question

  1. On the Test Canvas page, click to open the Contextual Menu next to the question you wish to edit, and then click Edit
    Click the down arrow next to the quesion you want to edit to open the contextual menu.
     
  2. On the question page, scroll to the Categories and Keywords section, select one or more options and add information to the question.
  3. Click Add next to the type of metadata you wish to add, type the information, and then click OK
    Add categories and keywords to each question to make it searchable.
     
  4. When you are finished, click OK.
