How to Use Questions from a Pool on a Test

After creating a Pool of questions, you might be wondering how to use them on a test. Instead of using the Create Question menu, you will point to the Reuse Question menu to find existing questions. This menu has three options for adding questions from your Pools: Create Question Set, Create Random Block, and Find Questions.

A "Question Set" is static and made up of specific questions selected by the instructor.

A "Random Block" is used to pull a block of questions (multiple questions treated as one) into a test from selected pools AND based on all questions or specific question types. They are dynamic and reflect changes to the question pool.

The “Find Questions” option simply lets you browse all of the available question content in your course and select individual items to add to the test.
