Question pools are very similar to creating test questions without point values. Pools are created to form a database of questions that can be reused in multiple tests. Follow the directions below to get started with creating a Pool.

How to Build and Add Questions to a Pool

Creating the Pool

1. In the Control Panel click Course Tools > Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
   
    
2. Click Pools.
3. Click Build Pool. 
   
    
4. Type a name for your pool.
5. Type a description for your pool, if you wish.
   
    
6. Type instructions, if needed.
7. Click Submit.
    

Adding questions to the pool

Once you have created a pool, you will need to add questions. You can create questions, find existing questions, or upload questions that have been created outside of Blackboard. 

1. To create a question, click Create a Question, and select the type of question you wish to create.
2. To find questions, click Find Questions, and go through the process of searching and adding existing questions from your course.
3. To upload questions, click Upload Questions, and then choose the file you wish to upload.
   
    
4. When you are finished, click OK.
