This article includes several items that students using Blackboard Learn might consider completing at the conclusion of each semester.
Instructors generally make their Blackboard Courses unavailable to students at the conclusion of each semester, leaving the student no way to access their submitted assignments or detailed grades for the course. Even if the Instructor doesn't make the course unavailable at the end of the semester, all Blackboard Courses are automatically deleted after three years. With this being said, it's a good idea for students to keep a copy of their submitted assignments, portfolios, and detailed grades.
Students can download their submitted and graded assignments from within Blackboard, that way they have a copy after the Blackboard course becomes unavailable to them. Sometimes Instructors choose to annotate and give feedback directly on the submitted assignment. Students can choose to download their original submission, or an instructor annotated version of the submission. For step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish this please see

If you would like to keep a detailed copy of your grades after the conclusion of the semester, you should print or save a copy before the Blackboard course becomes unavailable. To do this simply follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the My Grades area within the Blackboard Course. Please view Check Grades from Blackboard Help for more information.
- Print the My Grades page using your Internet browser's print function. Please note that some operating systems will also allow you to save the page as a pdf.
