How to Upload a Blackboard Profile Picture

Blackboard allows users to upload a custom avatar to use a profile picture. This avatar is displayed anytime your name is listed on a roster or beside your name on posts within your courses. If you choose to upload a profile picture, be sure to choose one that represents you professionally.

How to Upload a Blackboard Profile Picture

  1. Select your name from the upper right corner on Blackboard.
  2. Select the Settings button.
  3. Click Personal Information.

  4. Select the option for Personalize My Settings.

  5. Click the button to Use custom avatar image.
  6. Select Browse My Computer to choose an image file. Images should be square and no larger than 150x150 pixels or they will appear distorted.

  7. Click Submit to save your profile picture.
